a step towards immersing myself in this project: the purchase of a nib and ink.
it was not an easy task. firstly finding a shop that sold them. then finding a member of staff who knew the first thing about them. then deciding on which nib to buy. they were all lined up beautifully in wooden case. the lady behind the desk and produced a lovely old wooden box which glowed with charm and history. she then opened it to reveal an array of gold and silver coloured nibs- all slightly different. fascinating. i like it.
