object of use

an experiment based on ethnographic research - this object has been placed in different home environments for one week. the results are being relayed to me through photographs.














first photographs from paticipant are shown below. this structure has been used to store letters, bills, books, magazines, keys, shoes and an umbrella. the latter being the object you often find yourself placing in a random location when you first come through your front door.




how would you use this object in your home? what room would you put it in? would it be kept outside?
